Dr. Denise Froning is a Senior Research Analyst at the Charles Koch Institute in Arlington, VA. Dr. Froning earned her PhD in International Political Economy from the University of Denver, and has an extensive background teaching economics, political economy, and American government at universities including the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado College, University of Denver, and others. Previously, she worked as the trade policy analyst in the Center for International Trade and Economics at The Heritage Foundation, where she also co-authored the Foundation’s annual Index of Economic Freedom. She also worked as an economic researcher for the British campaign Business for Sterling in London. Dr. Froning has testified before Congress on international trade matters, has an extensive publications record in economic policy issues, and regularly conducts workshops on economics and well-being for organizations across the country.
